Report on a Year at the Hub

2023 was a very busy year for the hub, we have welcomed through our doors a whopping 977 visitors, which is an average of 19.5 per week. Not all different people but around 80 to 90 different beneficiaries (with a lot of hot drinks served up) and a mixture of former serving personnel and families. Some just attend for company and comradery, some need professional help which we signpost or just face-to-face support.

We have signposted 11 former service personnel to PTSD RESOLUTION and most have taken up the help and benefitted from it. Some we are still working with ongoing support and I’m sure we will get them to other kinds of help as needed. Other support has been given for a range of help including housing and finance etc. We have different organisations pop in, occasionally offering help and expertise, and the volunteers: Maureen Walters, Dave Richardson and Sandie Henderson along with myself will carry on our work and hopefully make a difference to more Forces’ families this year.
